Sie planen ein internationales Treffen im nächsten Jahr. Ort ist noch unbekannt. Termin voraussichtlich 28.04. - 01.05.2012. Spricht aus Eurer Sicht etwas dagegen? Ist das vielleicht zu dicht am Treffen in Attendorn?

Hello again,

we had a meet in the Paris area this weekend and plans are being made. We already have twenty or so vans booked in, a similar number of campers, and a group of four or five Italians.
I've also contacted the English and Dutch groups who will be present.

Here are some details:

The campsite where we have booked an area with all facilities including a hook-up:

1 Bedford 2 adults >> 14,00 € per night

Location:

35 kms from Auxerre, a classic medieval city
5kms from Guédelon, a medieval castle which is being reconstructed using traditional means
20 kms from ST Fargeau, a beautiful country village

That's it for now. It would be nice to be able to organise a German group if some of you are interested. We appreciate that it's a long way, and an effort will be made to organise convoys and stopovers.

PROGRAMME
Saturday April 28th
Participants arrive and set up camp, rest after their journey.
Saturday night, barbecue free to all participants, organized by the BVC members. The will be a pig roasting during the afternoon, accompanied by vegetables, salads, etc.
Saturday afternoon, while the pig is cooking, various workshops will be organized, the BVC shop will be open for parts and souvenirs, and the bar will be open too.

Sunday April 29th
Late start, so nothing organized during the morning.
Sunday afternoon, choice of workshops and/or short drive and visit nearby.
Food available from 7pm to 9pm, bar open, disco organized by the younger members of the club, with campfire, live music, etc

Monday April 30th
Bedford convoy, with road-book, around 25 or 30 kilometers, leaving site at 10am. Picnic lunch at Guédelon, with guided tour of the medieval castle being reconstructed.
Monday evening, food available from 7pm to 9pm, disco/live music

Tuesday May 1st
Late start and departure when ready.

Breakfasts – hot drinks will be provided by the BVC for all participants
Lunch – to be organized individually
Tombola – a tombola will be organized with tickets on sale during the weekend

Salut Robin,
theres a slight fear of some members potentially coming with their "shoe boxes" (Hymer) that they will need to pay for electricity. Obviously they own the wrong type of Bedford - so no VAN! Hehehe!
I assume that when you wrote the club will pay for the hook up for the "Vans" you meant all the participants?

 habe in der letzten Zeit oft gedacht, die sollten das Forum eigentlich umbenennen in Hymerforum: Shoeboxes forever.

Aber ich sollte die Schn...halten. Habe ja meinen Bedford -Van
verkauft, was ich inzwischen bereue...zu spät....

Mein Chevy-Van ist ein guter Trost, der hat schon  auch was zu bieten.
